Hotel Alba Torre Lapillo

Considering that it is a 4 star hotel, the room for three was tiny (it would have been so for two too), every morning we were woken up by bleeding cars or other trucks that passed and parked under the room window, there was no there is a minimum of soundproofing, the windowless bathroom had an extractor fan that turned on when he wanted, there were only two electrical sockets in the entire room. The only positive sides: friendly and helpful staff and sea view, although to have beautiful beaches you still have to move because the ones below are small and full of Posidonia (it's not "dirty" but it's still not pleasant to swim in). It's definitely not a 4 star hotel. Maybe 2. I won't go back.

Stayed in the central period of August. Experience to forget. Staff lacking in experience and professionalism (apart from a few exceptions). Room with problems that have reappeared several times (air conditioner that discharged water into the room, clogged drains, disposable glasses used or never replaced) and little interest in solving them on the part of the staff. Room cleaning acceptable, balcony table and chairs never cleaned. Poor quality and poorly cooked food. You couldn't find such food even in the company canteens of the past! Hotel practically right on the beach and the road is practically sand and gravel off the beaten path! This means that every time a car or other means passes, a fine dust is raised which settles on everything, from things to lungs. Poorly maintained exteriors, with dry plants and weeds in pots. Very small beach, with very limited individual spaces, dirty beach, lifeguard who does nothing but fiddle with his cell phone until 19.00 closing time!! (???) Basically, the staff's commitment is not aimed at the well-being of the customers , their only aim is to MAKE MONEY so much, for a customer who was bad and will never come back, they have 100 unaware (as I was) of what awaits them, who will be happy to book next year. However, this review will not remain here alone. I will send it to the hotel with a more detailed email and with certainly harsher tones. I will send it to the Asserorato al Turismo of the Puglia Region which assigns the stars to ask with what criterion they gave the stars to this structure! I will send it to the Municipality of Torre Lapillo to ask why there are still dirt and unlit roads in its territory, even if they are very popular. Probably all this won't help, but at least I will have vented my anger towards whoever ruined my summer holidays! Personally I STRONGLY RECOMMEND AVOIDING IT AND I HOPE THEY NEVER REOPEN AGAIN!!!!

Positive note: the location. The room I stayed in had a double view of the sea, in fact both the balcony and the bathroom window offered a beautiful panorama. The crystal clear water, albeit with a totally rocky bottom, makes diving pleasant, but without shoes and if you don't have much stability in the water I would say that the situation will not present itself as ideal. Excellent air conditioning in the room. Negative notes: payment of the entire stay at check-in, cost of a watery coffee taken at the counter in a paper cup €2.25, the lack of asphalt road makes the air, the balconies, the chairs and anything is exposed (drying stuff for example) totally dirty, insects crushed on the walls, a hand shower to hold with the hand otherwise it won't support itself, the breakfast doesn't boast quality products (the second day we didn't even consume it on site, but we preferred to go out), I also had to pay the cost of the bottle of water that they let us find in the fridge. Two hundred euros per night definitely too many, beach service obviously excluded from this sum.

Hotel located facing the sea or rather on the sea of Torre Lapillo. It's nice to see all the staff made up of well-trained, friendly and attentive guys who pay attention to their customers. Clean rooms. Excellent various services. Balconies with sea view... Sweet and savory breakfast, always replaced. Wonderful stay, we will definitely return.
